“Manemo and friends can create anything.”

Used, old stuff that have been thrown away ends up way below underground. In this dark, desolate place, an arts and crafts fairy appears- and the story starts with her using magic to bring 5 boxes to life. The first box to come alive, “Manemo” and the other four boxes cut, paste and decorate other thrown away stuff to create something new. Soon, the underground world becomes full of life and energy. However, the boogie fairy appears with her monster -Scissor king- to cut and rip everything in sight.

Will Manemo and friends be able to protect the underground world from Boogie fairy and the Scissor king?

“뭐든지 만들어 내는 마니모와 친구들!!”

쓸모없고 낡아져 버려진 물건들은 지구 땅 밑으로 버려진다. 어둡고 적막한 이곳에 만들요정이 나타나 마법으로 5개의 박스에게 생명을 주면서 이야기가 시작된다. 첫번째로 생명을 얻은 박스 “마니모”와 4명의 박스들은 버려진 물건들을 자르고, 붙이고, 꾸며서 새로운 무엇인가를 만들어낸다.

그렇게 땅밑 세상도 활기를 찾아간다. 그런데 이떄, 가위대왕을 앞세워 부기요정이 나타난다.

부기요정의 명령을 받은 가위대왕은 닥치는대로 부수거나 자르기 시작하는데...

과연 마니모와 친구들은 부기요정과 가위대왕으로부터 세상을 지킬수 있을까?
